McNamara Family Sneak Peek | Schaumburg Family Photography

Wow, time flies. It seems like only yesterday that I was pregnant with Clara and videotaping Anne and Tom's wedding. Fast-forward a couple years, and now they have two adorable kids of their own, and they are still as cute and in love as can be!

What can I say? I'm a proud Mama...

Okay, sorry for the picture overload, but I'm so glad I took these spur of the moment photos of my daughter last week. I must say, she's not the easiest subject to photograph. I almost never get eye contact, and when I do, she's either roaring like a dinosaur or smirking. But she was a total ham for this session, even though it only lasted about 15 minutes until the sun was too low to continue!

My girl loves her shoes. I have no idea where she inherited that little trait... ;)

I'm kind of in love with this picture. So dreamy...

Gabriella in Wonderland | Bartlett, IL Photography

A friend that I showed this photo to thought that it had a very Alice in Wonderland quality to it. I would have to agree. Taking photos with Gabriella is always an adventure. In the short hour that we spent together last week, she led me on quite the adventure!

Traipsing around Cantigny Park, we had a pretend tea party and searched for those illusive Cantigny fairies in the flower beds. It's pretty difficult to get eye contact from two-year-olds, so I just create a fun environment for them to explore, and then try to keep up and capture it as they take in the wonder of it all.

I did made the mistake of bringing out the parasol too early, and it was a wee bit difficult to distract her from playing with it the whole time, but I'm so glad I brought it with!

Big Boy B Part 2 | Bartlett, IL Children's Studio Photography

A few weeks after our outdoor photo shoot with B, he came back to our home studio for some fun backdrop pictures. It was the perfect time to use my new muslin backdrop and buy some suitcase props from Hobby Lobby :)

He has such a timeless look to him, that I edited some as if they were photographs found from long ago!
