Baby Everett | Bartlett, IL Newborn Photography

One of my high school BFF's recently gave birth to her second son, and I did a mini session while visiting the latest addition to our growing playgroup.

Meet Everett. He's beautiful, tiny and strong all at the same time! He wanted to be wide awake the entire session, so no scrunched up newborn shots for this guy! Well...except for this one. The pose lasted about 30 seconds...

(PS: how do you like the Very Hungry Caterpillar cocoon my mother-in-law made?

We did, however, capture him finding and sucking his thumb for the first time....
...And his resulting surprised reaction. Too cute!

Brotherly love :)

And a little candid of the proud big brother!

Toddler J | 18-month photo Session

I love the inquisitive nature of toddlers, and my favorite part of photographing the 1-2 year-old crowd is to try to capture the wonder and excitement in their eyes. I think J has some of the most gorgeous, expressive and soulful eyes, don't you think?

Peek-a-boo!

And a huge thank you to J's parents! We've already booked both a fall and winter photo session for later this year, and they are earning print credits by telling their friends and family about our services. Want to earn free prints also? Find out more about our Referral Rewards when you book a session with us!

The Closet Boutique Fashion Show! | Bartlett, IL video and photo services

Martha from the Closet Boutique (located inside Banbury Fair by the Bartlett train station) is a Bartlett gem! For the past 5-ish years she has been hosting bi-annual fashion shows to bring local friends, businesses and artists together for a night of fun!

Her company description is: "Where fashion is fun again at any age and any size. Full service ladies shop with great accessories, tops, bottoms, belts, shoes, hats, and more." I'm personally in love with her scarves and headbands, but I do have several favorite dresses and outfits from the Closet Boutique as well!

I've been videotaping every fashion show since her first one, but this one was different. I manned my husband on video and I was the photographer for the first time! Oh what fun! :)

As if the fashion show wasn't enough, Martha organizes local dance troupes to perform in intervals as the models change clothing.

Here's a slideshow of the fashions and entertainment from the night. Hope to see you at Martha's Fall Fashion Show! Stay tuned for dates!

Baby J | Bartlett, IL Newborn Photography

Meet Baby J! I've enjoyed photographing the family's daughter for the past two years, so I was so excited to hear that she was a big sister and had a sweet little brother to play with! And she takes her job very seriously! Look how sweet they are together!

Here is a quick slideshow video of some more of my favorite photos from the session!

Maternity Photos | Images to Adore| Joliet, IL Photography

Who says motherhood isn't sexy?!?!

Well, most of us, but S glowed throughout our entire maternity session! AND she delivered just a week later! I remember how bloated and grumpy I was that close to delivering my girls! Kudos to you, S, and congrats on baby K!

Baby B | Images to Adore | West Chicago, IL videographer and photographer

Some days I wish I had more than two hands. Last Monday was one of those days when I took on the daunting task of videotaping AND photographing in the same session! I had to bring my double stroller along to carry all my gear and props, but we did it, and got some cute captures along the way!

B's mom will be hiring Images To Adore every couple months to videotape/photograph B as he grows, and she would like to have the seasons and holidays featured, so for fall we went to a pumpkin farm and B went on his first hayride and ponyride! I'm already gearing up for our Christmas and Valentine's sessions! :)

Here's a sneak peak of our trip to the pumpkin farm!

My Family | Winfield, IL family photographer

I'm always photographing my kiddos, but I rarely take the time to edit the photos since I'm so busy with client sessions. I really enjoyed shooting an impromptu photo session with the family this Sunday, and here are a few of my favorites!

Even though Beth is only four, I can see what she will look like when she's an adult through this picture. She's growing up way too quickly!

It's a minor miracle when I get Clara to make eye contact for a photo, but I love some of her candid shots. She looks like a little flapper girl here!

A rare sighting of me in front of the camera rather than behind it. Don't hold your breath, it won't happen too often!

Hubba, hubba! Love my hubby's new glasses!

This picture truly says a thousand words to me! Anyone who knows my family knows that my daughters have extremely opposite personalities. This photo conveys that better than I could ever try to describe!

Z was busy as a bee! | Sycamore, IL photography and video

Z's parents went to high school with me and we were all in band together, so I jumped at the chance to see them again and their darling one year old, "Z". I LOVE the red hair that she inherited from her dad, and she's as sweet as can be, just like her mom!

This was my first shoot using my new external flash speedlite, and I am so glad I invested in it! It makes those darker, cloudy days so much easier to deal with (photography-wise!).

Here's a sneak peak!
